You have to make your way to the small island where Riku was training on during the daytime. You can either go through the shed, or jump onto it's roof to get to the bridge.
If your health is low, recharge it on the save point inside the shed.

Dont bother with the shadows just run to the little island where Riku was training. The best thing to do is to go into the shed and restore your health on the save point there and save your progress there as well. Then go up the stairs and run across the bridge onto the island.
