Yes you can get him in any disk, that includes disk 4, but the only thing difference is that you can't get gilgamesh if you get it during disk 4.

Well, I guess this is your lucky day because I am here to tell you that yes, you can get Odin after Disk Two. I myself got him on Disk three, so, as you can see, it does matter what disk you are on. You can get him on any Disk apart from Disk One. Odin is not a normal Guardian Force you see. He is not able to be summoned like a normal one, no, he is different. What Odin does is appear randomly in a fight, and wipe out all of your enemies for you. So yeah, like you said, he is savage. Hope this helps.
