how many kinds of chocobo in ff9 and how to get those chocobos and what are the usses of those chocobos

Reef Chocobo- You can only go within the reef, Not any further.
Mountain Chocobo-You can climb only mountains, Not beyond that.
Sea chocobo- Not only you can climb the mountains, But you can also travel through the sea.
Sky Chocobo- You can do all as above mentioned.

Oh by the way here are it's colors:

Reef Chocobo-Light blue
Mountain Chocobo-Red
Sea Chocobo-Dark Blue or purple
Sky Chocobo-Gold.
