Question for Final Fantasy IX

Hiya I am really stuck on the earth gaurdian on disk 3 with quina can someone help me its doing my head in.

I cant use life coz quina ain't got it, so tell me how to beat it and also do you have to do it with freya and amarant, eiko and dagger and stiener and vivi please answer quick.

Getting Quina to know auto-float is very helpful so if you have that equipped it to him/her.
Yes, you battle the other guardians wth the other characters.

The best way to beat the Earth Guardian is to make sure Zidane is close to Trance and has enough Hp to withstand 1 or 2 hits from the guardian's attacks. Also having the Angel Bless or better helps a syou can then use Grand Lethal when in Trance, doing 9999 each hit. It doesn't really matter about Quina, so long as Zidane can get into trance quickly(High Tide helps).
