I need help getting the excaliber1 or excalibar1 I'm at the auction but I don't know what item I need or when it would pop up.

The item that you need is the magic fingertip.
Then go to Dagerrio and give it to a old man an he will give you the the Escalibur 1.

The magical Fingertip will appear at the auction when you have bought: griffin's heart, Doga's artifact, Une's mirror and Rat tail. These can be bought at the auction. Then you have to sell these things to people in the streets in Treno.

You can sell Griffin's heart to the red mage near the synthesis shop(person with res clothes and black cowboy hat) and to the noble in yellow clothes and red cape, also walking there. With both people you can refuse their first offer but you gotta accept their second offer or they don't want it anymore and you'll be stuck with it.
You can sell the rat tail to the red mage,refuse his first offer and accept his second offer. You can sell Doga's artifact to the noble, refuse his first offer and accept his second offer.
You can sell Une's mirror to the scholar inside the synthesisshop, accept his first offer.

Now the magical Fingertip should be available at the auction, buy it and go to Daguerreo and give it to the old man next to the inn and he will give you the excalibur. You should do all this on disc 4 or else it won't work.
