Sims 2 Game Crash (School Bus and Certain Locations)

All right, I know game crashes for the Sims 2 (PC) has happened to many people before...but I'm not sure whether or not any one has had this certain problem. I've had this problem for a while now, but now I just can't take it any more. I have 3 teenagers in my family, and this'll happen with children and teenagers, and when ever the school bus arrives, the game crashes. It says that, "The application has crashed and will now terminate". But this doesn't just happen with the school bus. At almost every public place, (such as a resturant) when the taxi or car drives away and it goes to the loading screen, the game crashes and the same message for the school bus crash will pop up. The strange thing is that for some things like when the taxi arrives, the game is fine. Maybe it's the size of the school bus? And at some places, for example, "Pepe's Pets", the game will remain running as well. So I really don't know what is going on. It's like the game chooses whether or not it'll work for certain places or objects. If someone can help, I'd be very grateful!

it could be because your computer is not capable of handling the sims 2. the sims 2 is a BIG game, thus why it has so many discs when you're installing it.
0ne thing that could help is making the graphics lower. (graphics often cause the sims 2 to crash) you can do this by going into the zone with the three dots (save game, go to neighbourhood, quit etc) and choose settings or options or something like that, have a look through the things in there and make sure the graphics and things like that are on low.
