Task completion not recognized

Task completion not recognized

I had a task of adding a Sim to town. In order to avoid buying a house, I just had a Sim move in with another, and then added a new Sim to the empty house. Task was not recognized as completed. So then I built a new house and added another new Sim. Task still not recognized as completed. How do I fix this, other than using five LPs to skip the task?.

I'm having the same problem! I'm confused on how to complete this task! What steps am I missing here?

The same thing is happening to me. This task has just been sitting there, as I am unable to complete it. I did the same thing you did... I made a sim move in with another one then added a new sim to their house. I have a new house under construction right now, but it seems from reading your post that adding a new sim there won't complete the task either. I don't know what to do, as I don't want to pay 5 LP to skip the task either when it seems to be a glitch. It seems this is happening to everyone right now because I read another post on here where people were commenting this same thing on another question. I hope someone can figure this out or that it will be fixed if it's a glitch.

At least now I know it was not just me. I wound up using 5 LPs to move past it. :(

I found the solution to this by accident, restore to the last saved data in the cloud, and it will allow you to complete the task and show it as completed and let you move on. You may need to repeat some tasks, which can be a pain, but it fixed the problem for me!
