Goal is to buy magazines and say will find them in living room a
Where are the magazines? They're not in any sims home or in the store

You might need to level up before the magazines are available for purchase. In the mean time you can add a neighbor via Party Boat and see if they have the magazines and maybe that will complete the goal. I didn't have many Facebook friends playing the game so I made my husband download the game and start playing so he could eventually buy the magazines and then I could add him as a neighbor so I could visit him and use his magazines.
