Buildings such as businesses, stores or parks cannot be deleted once they are built. Only residences and homes can be demolished.

It's absolutely annoying when you need to do a quest but you don't have enough money to buy the building because it costs 100,000! It took me 3 months to get 100,000! I wish I could demolish some workplaces for simoleons!

I think it’s a little to late to tell you now. You have to delete the sim that lives inside the house you want to delete. I’m pretty sure there are articles on that. Then there should be an icon on the empty house or something, you press on it and then scroll to the back and press demolish house. I might be wrong about this.
