Question for The Sims FreePlay

Sims free play. I have unlocked the elevators. How do I install them into my house? I have expanded a room and have cleared all items in the room thinking there was not enough space. It's the Toyko Retreat house. I have also made this house 3 stories thinking it needed more than 2 floors to install elevator. Weird thing is I also can not install any of the staircases and / or the fire poles. Can you just not make this type of house more than one level? Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!

Have you created rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor? You do need to do that to install stairs, fire poles, escalators and elevators.

I'm having a similar problem, I have a two-storey house, have created rooms on both floors but cannot get my elevator or stairs to install. :(

you can only install elevator that connect two floors. I mean, if you put the elevator at the first floor, it will connect to the second floor. if you want to put an elevator at the third floor, just put the new elevator at the second floor, then it will connect to the third floor. seems lioke it wont be the same as our real live when one line elevator can conncet lots of floor

How do you unlock them
Guest answered:

What you have to do is make sure that you have built a room above where you want the elevator to go, if you haven't made any rooms above where you put the elevator/stairs then it will not work.
