Easy. Get your sim/s into a room of your choice. After that, remove all the doors from the room. Now, your Sim/s are all locked/trapped in the room.

Yes, this works, Also fun fact is that if you want to act like your teen or something lives alone, but can't afford another house, you can build them a separate property on their parents place!
