Question for The Sims FreePlay

How do you get different fish? I have used all of my 17 sims to fish and I only get brown trout and spotted koi. How does one win the fish competition when you can only get 2 different kind of fish?

I thought I had the same problem but I just found out that you need to level up as a fisherman to unlock more fish!
