I am on level 24 and 37 sims. I want to delete some of them. How do I delete them?

You have to click the button that edits your sim. Then you have to click the little red thing with an X over a stick figure, then your sim is "abandoned" or deleted.

Thank you. I have tried this many times and it does not work. I even tried it with the first sim. It keeps saying they need to complete goals first.
