Question for Pokemon FireRed

Sorry but I'm new here and I just got my firered, I already done silver gold yellow but
1. What is a star piece?
2. What is the best starter for you guys?

Well,

1) A star piece is an item you can sell for lots of money.

2) most people start with Charmander sense it's FIRERED and has a charzard on the frunt.

1. An item that you can sell for $4900 I think.

2. I would advise you start off with Charmander. Charizard learn the best variety of movesets out of the three starters and is the best Fire pok�mon in the game (Entei and Moltres included, trust me on this). Since you'll be encountering lots of Grass pok�mon that do well and some great Water pok�mon too, there's not much need to start with the others. Venusaur is also a great choice and is the best Grass pok�mon in the game, if you don't like Charizard (meaning you're weird) then go for Venusaur. Blastoise is a poor Water pok�mon with a weak movepool, and let's not forget that pok�mon like Lapras and Starmie are better. Just don't go with Blastoise.

2. I chose Squirtle and had an easy time beating Sabrina, Blaine, Brock, Agatha, Giovanni, and loralli, because squirtle learns bite a dark move super effecive against psycic and ghost.
