To find Lugia just go to cianwood town and SURF to whirlpool island (YOU DO NEED WHIRL POOL FOR THIS) go to the island in the top right of the 4 islands. Go around that island till you find the whirlpool for that island then go inside the cave and go on the top jump and follow your way to Lugia there you have it. (make sure you have plenty of ultra balls a Pokemon that can use a sleep attack and Lugia is level 40 unless your in crystal where I think he is 70)

Okay, I see a lot of people talking about how unbeatable and amazing their team is. I got a team that could probably whoop all of them.
First: Typhlosion; Lv. 100: Fire punch, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, and Earthquake
Second:Raikou; Lv. 62: Cut, Thunder, Zap Cannon, Spark
Third:Jynx; Lv. 48: Blizzard, Lovely Kiss, Psychic, Ice Punch
Last:Ho-oh; Original Stats
Oh, and I'd like to mention that Typhlosion has Charcoal, Jynx has NeverMeltIce, and Raikou has Magnet. One last thing. If you don't know where to get Fire Blast for Typhlosion, it's in Goldenrod. It's one of the prizes in the Game Corner. The third TM I Think. Just get a lot of money and buy all the coins you need for it.

So I have been playing Pokemon since I was around, 9 and I'm not 17, still going strong :D and my favorite of all the Pokemon games is Pokemon silver. I have beten it over and over and never lose enjoyment. I choose a different started and try to get new Pokemon each time. The last time I played (currently) I started with a cyndaquil. I did not catch anything and leveld it up though the first 2 gyms, and bellsprout tower, and team rocket. By the time I was at the 3rd gym I had a level 27 quilava. But before I could go onto the next gym I decided to get a Pokemon and I chose scyther (caught at the bug catching contest in goldenrod city). Scyther soon proved to be even strong then my quilava and is currently dominating all of those against it. It is strong, fast and can learn a large variety of moves. This bug Pokemon that can learn flying moves (very awesome) combined with my quilava seemed like an unbeatable set up. But I decided to catch a golduck has well (the evolved form of psyduck misty's yellow duck pokemon) the trio of them are ruling and I am beyond satisfied, I kill any opponent with ease and I have not lost a single battle. I may get a magneton as well and I know I'm getting an aerodactly for my bird. This team seems unstoppable

Lugia:go to olivine city go to the spot where you use rock smash on the shoreand stay to the right when going downthen the 1st island you see go there then when you go in go up as far as you can the rightthe you come to a waterfall go down and you will see a cave he will be just floating (bring ultra balls)

Ho-oh:go to erika town to the place ware all the monks are and there will be stairs down then when you go up you will be at the tower thers a couple stories so it will be a long time

The dogs: there will be scaterd across johto

First You Need A Game Link Cable.

Next Catch Onix In Rock Tunnel In Kanto Or Trade Bellsprout for Onix in Voilet City.

Then Make Onix Hold Metal Coat.

Finnaly Trade To One of your other GB Pokemon Games And Onix Evolves Into Steelix. And Trade Back(If you want to).

And there your Onix has evolved into Steelix

The best starter is Cyndaquil. When it evolves from a Quilava into a Typhlosion,that is when you'll have the advantage. To make your Typholsion almost unstoppable, you should have:
Thunderpunch (TM ~ Goldenrod Department Store)
FlameWheel or FlameThrower(TM ~ Goldenrod Department Store)or (Move it learns)
Earthquake (TM ~ Victory Road)
A Move of Your Choice (Depends on which one you choose)

This won't automatically win a battle for you though. With these moves, Typhlosions are still weak against Rock and Ground type pokemon.

To clone, all you have to do is go to any PC and put the Pokemon in. Switch the box to Box Fourteen and when it says "Saving Do" shut it off quickly. The Pokemon will be in the box and your Party. You can clone up to five Pokemon at a time without losing a Pokemon. This will only work in Silver. I don't know if it works in Gold but I know it doesn't work in Crystal, but there is a way to clone in Crystal:)

Don't train your own pokémon too high when you're afraid of Red's high lvled pocket monsters. If you can defeat Gary (Blue), the way to Red is open. You can easily beat him with fifties, although it's wise to get some TM's. Remember: in this case Pokémon is merely about brute force, without strong moves you're not going to survive. Red will not laugh with you, but laugh at you when you use quick attack against his Snorlax. If you can't afford good TM's, always make sure there's a lot of difference between the moves your pokémon have.

I suggest:
-Zap Cannon (vs Blastoise) -- Get it at the Power Plant.
-Hydro Pump (vs Charizard)-- Train a pokémon like Gyarados that learns it, or just the easy way: Lugia.
-Earthquake (vs Pikachu) -- Find it at Victory Road.
-Trash (vs Espeon, Snorlax) -- Nidoking (get a Moon Stone on Monday Night near Brock's Town) or Gyarados learn it (both powerful pocket monsters). Use this to rampage like hell.
-Aeroblast, Sky Attack, Fire Blast etc (vs Venusaur) -- Get a Lugia, Trade from R/B/Y or get it at the Game Corner. Flying/fire is very effective against Venusaur.

Yesterday I tried to complete Pokémon Silver in 24 hours of playing as a veteran without pause. After I beated the Elite Four, I had the following Pokémon without gameshark or cloning or whatever:
-Dragonite lvl 50
-Red Gyarados lvl 50
-Typhlosion lvl 50
-Sudowoodo lvl 50
-Lugia lvl 40

In one hour, I completed whole Kanto. My 5 pokémon were all lvl 55. Now I was permitted to catch either Ho-oH or to go and beat Red. I chose for Red, and in 5 minutes I hiked down the mountains to visit Red. It's quite possible to beat him with ''low'' lvls, without items. This was the strategy:
-Typhlosion used Earthquake against the 81 weak pikachu, one hit KO.
-Red Gyarados used Trash (2 hits) against the Espeon, which was quite hard compared to the others.
-Dragonite used Zap Cannon to destroy Blastoise in 1 hit.
-Snorlax (hardest, as everyone knows, lvl 75) was beaten by my Sudowoodo's Rock Slide (!) in 5 turns. Use big force to defeat this punk, every ''veteran'' knows the power of Rest-Snore-Body Slam etc.
-I accidentally forgot to switch when Venusaur came up, and he finished my Sudowoodo with his Solarbeam. I just chose Lugia and finished Red's weakest pokémon (after Pikachu) with just one Aeroblast. -Charizard didn't survive a one hit KO Hydro Pump.

I hope this helps for rookies (I don't think this game still has any) who don't have much time to train or veterans who, when they start a new game, want to make a speed record of finishing the whole game.

* If you have more time and want to make it slightly easier to defeat Snorlax, you could train a Ditto to lvl 50 and make it transform. I always used a lvl 30 ditto against the Elite Four in pokémon yellow.

Right.. Here we go. First, go to dragons den and use your fishing rod to catch a lv 40 dratini. Then make it level 41 and it will evolve into a dragonair. Simple huh.
(also, you can trade it for a rhydon in a house in blackthorn city. It needs to be female though!) I hope this helps anyone!

To get easy exp. You need to get to goldenrod city and put a Pokemon into the daycare,then go to the next city and go to gym and put your gameboy on the charger and put something heavy on the up butten and when your go to bed youl go up and then go back to the entrence and ect....

After bringing the egg to prof. Elm you get pokeballs, you can't buy more in the first town so you have to make do right, wrong, sell some of you balls to the mart, he will have pokeballs afterwards.

Hey it's me Super Cheat Master! You want to know how to get hm2(fly)?
Well just go to Chainwood across the sea, and beat the gym. Then go outside and look for the gym leader's wife, talk to her and she will give you HM2(FLY).
There now wasn't that easy?

First go to Chainwood and beat the gym. Then go outside and look for the gym leader's wife and she will give you hm2(fly).

Go to a Pokemon center and go to the P.C and save at the pc then deposite the pohemon you want to clone then go to a empty box when it says (don´t turn off the pow) turn it off then after that you will have one in your party and one in your pc.

You know the three dogs Raikou, Entei, and Suicune? If you incounter them once they will be in your Pokedex. If you look them up it will have their nest in it. As you probably know they are constantly moving. Look up were they are and then fly there. This DOES NOT work most of the time but sometimes they will stll be there and you can go in the grass and catch them. It does take some time but to me it was a lot quicker than just walking around in the grass looking for them.

Give the item you want to duplicate to a pokemon. Make it the first Pokemon in your pack. Now go to a PC and save.Now deposit the Pokemon in Bill's PC.

Now change boxes and when it says, "saving don't turn off," or something like that, turn it off then back on really really fast.

Now you should stll have the Pokemon you deposited in your pack and in the PC and there will also be two of the item it was holding, one on both pokemon.

This cheat is good for all items that I know of though I have never tried it on TM's or HM's.

This requires Red or Blue verisons.Do the Missingno. Cheat. Use and Duplicate Rare Candies(use to level 50-60), items that boost your stats, and the best Tms and Use it on the best PKMN. Then trade with a trading cord or Pokemon Staduim 2 but requires game paks.

Ho-Oh:In Pewter city there is a man who will give you a Rainbow wing. Take it to burned tower and take all the stairs and work your way through the maze and you will find a level 70 Ho-Oh. You will probably want to use your master ball there.

Lugia:Go to Olivine and surf south, trying to stay to the right. There are four entrances to his cave so if you follow that path you see the first one so enter it. When inside go to the right and choose the top path when you get to the fork in the path. Go down the waterfall and surf up and you will find him swimming in the pool. He is level 40. He gives out 1257 xp (I think) if you beat him. But DO NOT! What are you crazy?!

The legendary dogs:
Raikou, Entei and Suicune. These three marvels do not have a set area to find them.(But if you have crystal you get suicune in tin tower). But when you find them you can mark where they are so you can keep following them. They move around most of the time when you fly to the place you are going to so good luck getting them.

Here we go.

1. First of all deposit the Pokemon that you want to dupe in your pc.
2. Then change the box you stored it in.
3. And when the screen shows the message 'saving do not turn off the power' turn off your gameboy.
4. Turn your gameboy back on and you should have the Pokemon in your pc and another one in your party.

This cheat has been tested many times, and it has always worked for me.

This cheat works for both gold and silver version

You all know about the duplication cheat right? Well if you don't go look at one of the other cheats cause I'm not going to waste my time , but heres how it goes:

1. Begin the game(doesnt matter what your name is)

2. Save right before you get a pokemon

3. Pick a pokemon(doesnt matter which one)

4. Make sure you don't save again till you have all three beginning pokemon

5. Then play the game as normal until you get your first five pokeballs from oaks assistant

6. Then catch two pokemon(doesnt matter which ones don't worry if there not strong cause your just getting rid of them)

7. Then put one wild Pokemon that you caught and your beginner in the pc and do the duplication cheat

8. Then you should be right before you get your first pokemon

9. Pick a Pokemon that you didnt pick last time

10. Then go to the next town and grab both Pokemon out of the pc

11. Then do the duplication cheat again with both beginners in the pc

12. Now get the last beginner

13. Go to the next town and make sure the three beginners are there

14. Make sure you save so you don't have to do it again

You frist have to start a new game and then go to Mr.Pokemon he will give you an egg then take it to the profecer and after that save your game and turn it off.

And then back on and there you go you will never now what kind is going to be but it has always worked for me.

1. Start a new game

2. Get to the point where you get 5 pokeballs- DO NOT SAVE AT ANY POINT!!!

3. Catch 2 pokemon

4. Go to a pc

5. Deposit the starter you selected earlier in the game and one pokemon

6. Change box, when it asks you to save the game, do so BUT when the words: "saving... Dont" appear on the screen turn off your game then back on

7. When you start, select a different starter and go to the next town

8. Go to the poke' center and the pc

9. Withdraw the Pokemon you caught earlier (not a starter) and deposit the starter that you just got

10. Repeat step 6

11. This time when you start, choose the Pokemon wich you havent already chosen. 12. Save the game- the other two Pokemon will be in the pc

If you think this cheat doesn't work, follow the steps EXACTLY if it still fails then you must have done something wrong.

If you're looking for him, stop. You won't be able to find him in this game.

You should use common sense. I you want a shiny lugia/ho oh then listen up. When you come across them save in front, then click A on them. If they aren't shiny then turn off. But you'll be right in front of them. Keep repating this until they are shiny. Trust me it worked for me.

When you are at the day care go down to the forest and go all the way threw it and you will be at a diffrent town go in the houes at the top and tork to the man.

After you get all badges go to first city (new bark town) and to professor elm and he might check pokedex but then the loot. . .THE MASTER BALL!!!!!

If you talk to the pokemaniac in one of the houses on the island where the fighting gym is in jhoto(forgot name!!) he will say your rival stole one of his prize pokemon. Then he will askif you will take a Pokemon say yes and he will give you shuckle. Train shuckle until it really likes you. Then go back to the popkemaniac he will then give you shuckle for your own

When you put a water Pokemon in the day care it will then appear outside in the water.

Then go out and talk to it 7 times. Then put a ditto in the daycare. Then after you get 2 eggs go out and fish or surf on the water.

You will then find all of the same Pokemon as what your water Pokemon is in the pond.

It only works on silver I have tried it on gold but it never seems to work. So I hope that you have fun with this cheat. Gamedude69 out.

To get the town map card, go to cherrygrove city and let the old man give you the tour.

When youre in the goldenrod slots play the slots. The first column has two 7s one after another. The second seven is the one you want. If you time it right and let the first 7 pass you will get an easy 7

Each week tune your pokegear to the lucky number show and look for the lucky number. Once you have it match it to one of your Pokemon and go to Goldenrod City then into the radio tower and talk to the man in charge of the contest. If you match it you will have a chance of winning one of three prizes depending on how many digits of the chosen number you match.
1st prize-Masterball (match the entire ID number, all five digits)
2nd prize-Exp Share (match the last three digits of the entire ID number)
3rd prize-PP up (match the last two digits of the entire ID number)
If you have a gameshark, action replay or monster brain use it to change the ID numbers of your pokemon. Otherwise you have to trade from others to match the ID number.

First choose your starter pokemon.

Then get to the part of the game when can catch Pokemon and catch a week Pokemon then put your starter in the PC in a nother box like 2 ^ turn off repeat until you have enough Pokemon the# of starters you want.

Works about 75% of the time might to repeat a few times.

I know spmeone who tried it and it worked for him.

Capture Suicune Easy!

Well, I used 1 of the cheats on the website. But I know a make-sure way to do it. First, the most important things you need are: A couple a Max Repels, a Lapras that knows sing, and a few, normal Pok’eballs. First, get in Suicune’s area, and use max repel. (Sometimes he’ll stick there, and sometimes he’ll move somewhere else.) When you meet him, have your Lapras use sing. That disables Suicune from running away.

Then Attack him a few times, and then throw a Pok’eball at him without pushing any buttons.
I caught my Suicune with almost full HP! This will work!

Get Lugia (silver table only!)

First, you have to have: A Pok’emon with surf & waterfall, a Pok’emon that’s lv.40-lv.55, an Escape Rope (For not running into all those Annoying Pok’emon inside the cave. ^_^) There is a waterfall deep inside the cave, where on top, Lugia is.

Make sure you have either: Masterball, Ultraball, or Pok’eball. Once you’ve weakened him enough,Throw a ball at him. WARNING: He’ll use Recover a lot if the times, but just keep on Weakening him. Attacks Lugia has: Aeroblast, Recover, Gust, I forget the other one.


Get A Shining Unown



This hint may not work, but it’s worth trying. Like on catching Suicune, I used 1 of The Cheats on this website. To get a shining unknown, you have to go in the Ruins of Alph.

If you keep using regular Pok’eballs, shiny Unown will eventually appear. It’s Shiny color is normally blue. (Hint: It took me 20-30 minutes to get shiny Unknown.
