Babylon's Fall is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Take a look at our cheats and tips to get help in the game.
Babylon's Fall is an action-role playing hack and slash game played from a third-person perspective. After the Babylonians perished, only their great tower 'The Ziggurat' remained. Now a new Empire has come to pillage its ruins and uncover its fabled treasures. You are placed in the shiny, customizable armor of a Sentinel, a powerful warrior who must scale the Ziggurat to cleanse it of the evil that lives at the top. You start at a hub area known as Sentinel Force HQ where you will be able to interact with other players, visit shops or blacksmiths to purchase gear and upgrades, and access quests.
Each quest can be played solo, though the game also supports four-player cooperative multiplayer. You ascend three to four floors in each quest until you reach the summit of the tower. Along the way, you will unlock loot which can be used to enhance the strength of your character.
Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include why you should experiment with the different playstyles why it is important to explore everywhere. As well as these hints and tips, we also have a Beginners Guide here which goes into more details on some of the tips we have below:
Don't just pick one combat option and stick with it the whole game. You will find the best way to progress in Babylon's fall is to spend time with the different weapons so that you become familiar with their timings and attack power. Remember that when you select a character class at the start of the game you will be given certain traits and weapons. Although you can only pick one faction you will have access to three character slots, and loot you acquire will be distributed between these slots.
The three character classes available are the Huysian faction, which is a warrior class that uses swords and spears. The Agavaian faction, which is a tank class that uses heavy weapons like hammers. And the Geleilion faction, which is a ranged class that uses weapons such as bows. Eventually you will be able to use any type of weapon, regardless of the class of character you initially choose. The class of character you choose does however determine which Gideon Coffin and Dynamis abilities you are able to learn later.
Make sure that you explore everywhere during a quest as it is extremely important in Babylon's Fall to acquire as much loot as possible. This is because during a quest there is no way of knowing which gear piece you have obtained. The only thing you will find is Relics with different tiers, so you will want to find as many of them as possible
Keep in mind that although the game's stages are mostly linear, there will be times when it will be possible to move away from the beaten path to discover Treasure Chests that include additional Relics. Keep in mind that some boss areas also feature Relics.
In order to get a high score at the end of each chapter in Babylon's Fall you need to make sure that during combat you use all the combat techniques at your disposal. The game awards medals ranging from Stone to Pure Platinum based on what score you achieved. Strive to get as many high-rank medals as possible as doing so will also get you additional rewards for skillfully completing a quest.
Keep in mind that regular weapons attacks and most Spectral Weapons attacks will not stagger enemies. To stagger enemies you need to use specific attacks such as the final attack in a regular combo, parries, aerial heavy attacks, charged heavy attacks, charged Hammer Spectral Weapon attack, and launcher attacks performed after executing a Perfect Dodge. The most reliable way to stagger an enemy in Babylon's Fall is to use a launcher attack. Take a look at our Perfect Dodge Guide to find out how you perform this maneuver in combat.
You will gain access to the Conch Shop once you have met Pygmaion at the Sentinal Headquarters. Although this shop will have a number of items that will be extremely useful throughout your journey you should begin by investing in the Starter Packs as these will contain items that will appeal to specific playstyles. At the Conch Shop you can also purchase EXP boosters, although these are expensive they will help you considerably when upgrading and gaining levels.
