Top 5 Game Heroes We Want to See Lose

3. Kratos – The Frat Guy

Once heralded as the new standard for action titles, Kratos is the stereotype mold of the video game bro. All muscles, no brains and there's only one emotion to go to and that's anger. There isn't a shred of human credibility in just how one-dimensional this character is.

In some way, the cardboard cutout personality of Kratos is befitting of the use of archetypes in Greek mythology. As the “God” of War, the analogy is there that the lore uses the same gross flaws than for the themed deities.

Still, even the ancient Gods had more than just one go-to, every single time. Kratos is basic, annoying to work with and predictable to a tee.

Despite being advised dozens of time to do the sensible thing, this irate warrior always resorts to the vilest option. Even in death, our bro doesn't even show a second of humility; instead, crawling out of the underworld again and again. Without the threat of death, there's no chance for growth in any plot.

Some self-awareness is long overdue for Kratos. Perhaps in the next game, there can be some conflict resolution that doesn't involve ripping another head off. Just once, a conversation would be refreshing.
