6) Spartan Laser (Halo 3)
The Spartan Laser was one of the best all-purpose weapons in the game. It could kill an enemy foot soldier with just one shot (when the game wasn’t lagging) and could also be used against vehicles. Smaller vehicles like a Banshee, Ghost, or Warthog would be completely blown up in one shot while tanks like the Wraith or Scorpion could take a couple depending on where you hit it. Lasering a full Warthog was the easiest way to get free a triple kill. The Spartan Laser was incredibly accurate even at long distances and could be used to combat enemy snipers if you were good enough. The one drawback to the weapon was that it took a few seconds to charge up and only had five shots before you were out of ammo. The charging mechanism was changed after Halo 3 so the gun became harder to use in subsequent games. It also held one shot less.
I'm also glad Doom's BFG9000 made to the list too! Sorry for forgetting one of most important weapons ever...

The ASMD from the Unreal game should of been on this list. Primary fire, secondary fire and a combo fire of both was the first time it was ever done in a game.

The P90 in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Attach a silencer to the gun, 50 bullets of unbridled death. On wetwork you could tap fire it across the full length of the map from one end to the other, it had incredibly accuracy from the hip and was steady and solid aimed down the iron sights.
That gun was unrivalled and would often see me get over 30 kills a game in Team Deathmatch alone.
