Top 10 Video Game Weapons of All Time
Shooters have been growing more and more popular in recent years and a big part of that genre is obviously the weapons. With gameplay that can often start to feel repetitive after a certain number of hours, game developers keep things fresh by gradually giving gamers access to new and more interesting weapons as the game progresses. Most good games tend to have one or two really cool weapons that fans remember using even years later. Here are the top 10 most memorable weapons from video games:
10) Crowbar (Half-Life)
The crowbar may not be the strongest weapon on this list but it is one of the most iconic. Ask any old school gamer which character is best known to wield a crowbar and most will probably be able to tell you right away the answer is Gordon Freeman from Half-Life. Just Google the words “Gordon Freeman” on Google images and you’ll see the majority of pictures show him clutching this weapon. The only thing that typifies Freeman more is perhaps his HEV Suit. The crowbar is the first weapon this geeky scientist ever holds and it retains its usefulness throughout the game as it can break crates to find supplies, break boards that are blocking your path, or take out flying headcrabs without wasting precious ammunition.
I'm also glad Doom's BFG9000 made to the list too! Sorry for forgetting one of most important weapons ever...
I'm glad Duke3D's Shrink Ray made to the list! It's my favorite weapon ever created.

The ASMD from the Unreal game should of been on this list. Primary fire, secondary fire and a combo fire of both was the first time it was ever done in a game.

The P90 in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Attach a silencer to the gun, 50 bullets of unbridled death. On wetwork you could tap fire it across the full length of the map from one end to the other, it had incredibly accuracy from the hip and was steady and solid aimed down the iron sights.
That gun was unrivalled and would often see me get over 30 kills a game in Team Deathmatch alone.
