When they are old enough have them get married and move in to their spouses house. You will no longer be able to play them but they will still be in the game. Dont just kick them out or they will disapear.

On the pc you can kick them out and they will not go away they will just mov into an open house in the neighborhood and continue life. You can't play them but they can be called and can come over and visit like any other town member

Unfortunately, you can't. On PC you can kick any young adult,adult or elder
Out with a teenager,child, toddler or baby.

I play xbox version, and I have a sim with a lifetime wish to have 4 kids, and then raise them each from baby to teenager. I made the mistake of adopting a kid, and it turned into a teenager. THEN I SAVED THE GAME!!! Now I need to delete the kid from the game before my sims are too old to have any more! Please help!

Go to edit town, click on your house, then the option split household. After they are split, move the ones you kicked out to another house. Nothing will be changed, except for their location.
