How the heck are you supposed to kill the German sniper on the first Russian mission?

The best thing to do is just scan all the levels of the building, he is located in the middle. I know it's hard I had trouble to, but you have to very slowly scan because he does hide a lot. Try to find out what direction his bullets come from.

When you get to the top of the stairs of building, listen to your comrade as he is telling you where the sniper is. The siper will pop put when your comrade baits him from cover. The best position to spot him is while you are crouched to the left of the top of the stairs. Look at the building with the flag pole slightly to you the right of your position. He is usually on the third or 4th floor. If he is on the left side of the building, wait for him to go to the right side of the building so you have better cover.

Shoot at one of the middle row then scan them to see him move

One time Sgt. Reznov will go make the sniper put his head up. Then you shoot. Like the others said Middle row usually on the right facing the TV screen

I had to take about 30 seconds for this part myself, I had trouble spotting him. I'm not the best spotter Smile. Here are some tips:

1.) The Sniper is in the middle row of the building. (Believe the 3rd one up.)
2.) Relocate after he leaves, and continue looking. (This will make it hard for him to spot you.
3.) Try looking in the same area. (Eventually, he will work his way there.)

Just change cover each time he sees and misses you and you'll get him eventually
