Yes! If you have the Holy Guitar of Jack Black you can open the secret door that will let you go into Muscle Shoals Studio where Jimmy Johnson and Roger Hopkins will give you lemonade.
The map is split into five locations or zones - so yeah, you can fight your way to the next section taking the bus - or you can play the other four as stand alone maps.

The five zones are linked as one large area in mp so you can use the bus to go from zone to zone. You can go into the buildings. That is pretty much it.
