Saving with Cheats

Saving with Cheats

Ok so I'm assuming you all know when you try to save with cheats still activated, you get that warning. Well, I figured it was like oh it's probably nothing so I saved with cheats activated. Then I started getting that "your disk cannot be read your disk may be dirty or damaged". So, I cleaned it and checked for scratches and tried again and again and again; I even took the disk and my Xbox to those guys that clean it and fix the scratches and he said nothings wrong no scratches no nothing so I was like "WTF!". So I'm wondering...does the warning actually do that?

Well, I always save with my cheats on. Again, it depends what cheats you have on, and how many. The worst thing that has happend to me when saving with cheats on is that a few of my cars go missing out of some of my garages.

Flareon Dude_ answered:

It's not the warning, but the cheats you activate. When you save the game with cheats still activated, you risk many things, from losing all saved data to losing your hair. It just varies from game to game, and you just happened to be an unlucky one.

The cheats hardly ever effect your game, Ive always used cheats on all my GTA games and I've never had any cheat related problems.
Open the disc dray when that message comes up, then close it again.

It should work, it worked for me when my disc became slightly dirty.
After a while the message stops appearing.

I don't think thats the problem.

No it does affect your game play & your stats, if you have put in the cheats in more then 250 times(check in your misk stat) the disk shall tell you that it's over loaded & eventually the disk will terminate it self. Its a disk hazard & the creators will tell you them selfs cause your not suppose to save it with activated cheats. So pretty much you need to buy a whole new disk, sorry dude!!

In gta iv I saved with cheats and there no problems in san andreas if you cheat more than 250 times a problem accor you know that mission that madd dog was going jump of that building and you have to save him the problems is using cheats 250 times will make madd dog just to jump of the building like in a second and thats impossible if you use more than 250 I have no gta iv cheat problems
