Best Character

There are 6 different classes of characters you can choose from in World War Z and the role you select will affect your gameplay experience as each character provides valuable perks that compliment their playstyle. In our opinion the best character, particularly if you are a new player is the Gunslinger because of their starting loadout.

The Gunslinger

The Gunslinger is an expert marksman that has access to weapons that have high rates of fire that will allow you to deal plenty of damage to zombies. The Gunslinger starts with a compact SMG and frag grenade and his perks revolve around improving the performance of your weapons.

The Hellraiser

This character is useful for both defending and flanking. The Hellraiser is an explosives expert that uses C4 and Claymore mines to deal massive damage to zombies. He starts with a shotgun, C4, and Hailstorm Multiple Grenade Launcher and his perks focus on boosting the amount of damage you can deal with the exposives you use.

The Slasher

This is a melee-based character that specialises in close-quarters combat. The Slasher starts with a compact SMG and Stun Gun which will render an enemy vulnerable to attack. His perks revolve around improving your stamina and melee damage.

The Medic

The Medic is a healer character that can aid allies from long-distance using a Stim Pistol which makes it that players don't take additional damage for a limited amount of time. The Medic starts with a Masking Grenade that will momentarily stop zombies from detecting your teammates.

The Fixer

This is a support character that is able to provide a team with extra ammo and explosive rounds from the Supply Bag he carries. The Fixer starts with a Scout Rifle and his perks are based around health pack upgrades, reducing friendly fire between your squad, and how effective you are at treating your teammates.

The Exterminator

This character is armed with Molotovs and Claymores and which he can use to deadly effect to annihilate swarms of zombies with fire-based damage. The Exterminator starts with a shotgun.
