You know how when Mario uses his cape in mid-air, he goes a little higher? Well, if you run off of solid ground and press B just as you hit the edge, you will go out as if you were slipping on ice. The closer you were to the edge without going off, the farther and faster you go. You still go a little higher and it is a great way to scale a gap without jumping once(unless you miss).
