I can't buy furniture! Every time I click on something to buy it has a red x. I thought I had too much furniture so I sold some stuff but it's still there! Help please

I think it's because you're putting thinks right next to each other. If you try putting it in a clear room and it's still there, idk what to say to that
It means that you have to many objects in the house because that has happened to me before and that's what it was hope this helped!
Thats not true because I have an empty house and still can't buy anything!!! X_X I'm so POed at EA right now. Sims 3 wii... Failure of the sims franchise lifetime! Sims 2 for gaming console was better. Why all these glitches?!
I have the same problem I sold my house and I tryed to buy another, I can't I can't even get a house now, so now my sims have to much off other peaples stuff
I am having issues. I seem stuck. I have 4 kids and 2,parents. And I can't buy anything, cause it has an X on everything and I can't sale and build new house. It keeps seeing fire hazard. Must furnish fire estuguisher. And keeps too many times of being a fire hazard. Please help. I don't want to start over.
Just restart the game. If that doesn't work play for a bit then restart. It's a glitch.
When yo go to buy things there is a house at the top it will show you that your house is full I sold some of the food out of my fridge and sold some books off the bookshelf
