Idont have this game but my friend does so when you do 2 player what does player 2 appear as?

Well there is no two player mode, however while your friend is playing one player you can use the wii mote to shoot things on the screen and help him out while he plays, that might be what your thinking of, I hope this info helped.

Player 2 doesnt control a person, it can only help player 1 shoot star bits to stun enimies... Hope this helped

A little yellow star that floats around on the screen and it can (when pressing A) kind of stop small enimies- not like the enimies that you have to do it a certain way to kill them. It can also collect starbits and shoot them if you have any. Oh, it can make plyr 1 jump too (works the same as stopping enimies exept it doesn't stop him)

Just as a star he collects star bits for you. Just a way to get more star bits.

He or she appears as a yellow star controlled by the wii remote's pointer that helps mario to jump higher, collect starbits, stun enemies and many other stuff like that. Pretty useful huh? Hope this helps!
