How to Connect the Wii Speak Microphone to the Wii Console

Wii speak is a microphone accessory in the Nintendo wii console that allows voice chat to be conducted with the entire room. It is connected to the console using a USB cable then placed near the video display. LED light indicates when the microphone is active.

What to do:

  1. Turn the power off on the Wii console before installing or removing the Wii Speak accessory


  2. Insert the USB plug from the Wii Speak accessory straight into one of the USB connectors on the back of the Wii console.

    If using more than two USB devices at the same time, it is necessary to use a USB hub.

  3. 4 To disconnect the Wii Speak accessory, turn the power off on the Wii console and pull the USB plug straight out of the USB connector.
