Choosing your Character

At the start of the game you will need to create a character from one of four classes. The classes are Imperial Soldier, High Elf Mage, Slayer, and Wood Elf Scout. Each of these character classes is unique with their own skill tree and they each require a different play stlye. You can begin the game with any of the four classes and it is recommended that before you invest in a particular class you play around with all four in the early levels to determine which one best suits you.

Develop your Skill Tree

Once you have decided on a class it is important that you start to focus on developing the characters' skill trees otherwise you will not be able to progress far. Skills are used in combat to deal damage, enhance your characters' stats and deal with the environment. You will need to tinker around with these skills to find the best match of skills to create the best build according to your play style.

Equip Better Items

There is no auto-equip option in Warhammer: Chaosbane so make sure as you progress through the game slaying the forces of Chaos and picking up gear you open your inventory and manually equip the better items so your character always has the best build possible.

Explore Maps Thoroughly

There are certain missions in Chaosbane that need to be completed within a stipulated time. During these particular missions you need to avoid any distractions such as paths that lead away from the main campaign and focus solely on the mission. Once you have completed the mission and there is no longer a time limitation you should go back and explore the paths you missed earlier. You will find that exploration of these paths will enable you to get earn bonus XP and gold as well as find hidden loot.

Save your Bloodlust

Each Character has a Bloodlust meter which is filled by collecting the Bloodlust orbs dropped by defeated enemies. When the Bloodlust meter is full your character will entern an enraged state where they will be able to perform devestating attacks on multiple enemies. Each of the four character classes has their own specific Bloodlust move. Save your characters' Bloodlust ability for when their normal attacks are unable to cope with what the Chaos forces have unleashed upon you.

Use the Healing Potion

Although there is no auto-heal in Warhammer: Chaosbane there is a health potion that is always in your inventory which you can use. The healing potion never runs out, you just have to wait for you health potion's cool-down effect until you can use it again. This health potion will heal your health to full and it will also cure any status buffs on you such as poison.

Dying

In the event that your character dies you have the option of respawning them at the spot they fell in exchange for a set amount of gold coins or fragments. As these resources are plentiful there is no need to worry too much about your character dying.
