Gameplay

Last Updated:

Set during World War II War Wings features real-time PvP online arial dog-fighting matches that complete in five minutes. Teams are made up of four players who compete in matches online against other teams of four players. Each battle involves you flying through the skies, pursuing your attackers while also trying to dodge your opponents. You can either group with your teammates and collaborate and execute coordinated strategies while playing or if you prefer play solo. A ticket system dictates how many chances your team has. Each time one of you is shot down, you lose a ticket, eventually running out entirely and losing the game.

You can choose your preferred flight control method from a selection of motion, virtual stick, or D-pad inputs. What makes War Wings different from other flight games is that you must learn to master and perform real-life air combat maneuvers such as the Split S, Barrel Roll, and the Immelmann Turn.

There are over 70 historically accurate, fully customisable warplanes to fly. Every aircraft in the game is authentically modeled with flight data in strict accordance with history. There are plenty of upgrades available for your planes which are often unlocked through battles.
