The Rathalos is the easiest to fight once you figure out it's moves. To fight a Rathalos, I'd just use the armor with the highest defense and no negative fire resistance (Rathian or Barroth armor?). For your weapon... Only sword and shield? Why is that? Anyways, use whichever one you think would help the most. It's really more of a choice between poisoning the monster, paralyzing the monster, or more damage with the water element.

Question: Is there something special that has to be done when killing a Diablos to get a Majestic Horn from it? Everyone that I've grouped with has had no clue what it comes from... However it's description clearly states it is from a Diablos. I need it to make myself a Rugged Lance+. I have been trying for... Oh 2 weeks now maybe? To get one. Its making me quite angry actually... I've killed/slain over 20 of them so far, and done multiple combinations of the subquests, as well as having 1 horn off, 2 off, or both on, as well as those with the tail on/off.

Break both horns. Event quests usually raise the percentage of getting this item, and doing it on high rank alone puts it up to 24%

It's simple. Just go to the Blacklist 15 menu and select milestones. Then you select the milestone you want to do.
