Has ever a Tony Hawk game had more significance in the entire world of gaming? I doubt it, other than maybe the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. Brilliant story line, magnificant detail and even the levels look like the real thing- well, up to a point.
Amazing for a classic/ platinum/ gamer's choice game. Of course, it has several glitches here and there, but what game doesn't? Overall, they are smooth and realistic. I especially love the look of the pro skaters, Iron Man, Gene Simmons (and the rest of KISS) and THUD.
Amazing playlist, and realistic cries when you bail off your board. Also, if you have the Xbox version and don't like the playlist, you can include the soundtracks on your hard drive. I currently have the soundtrack of "Skating Legends" that I put together, which includes the Offspring, Green Day and several others.
Absolutley brilliant. The controls are simple and easy to use, and there are many tricks you can use in the game to complete missions and get high scores. My personal favourite is the almighty manual, followed by the kingly grind and after that the lordly lip.
Lasts for ages and ages. Once you have played through once, you can go back and complete all the goals, try and beat your best high scores, create new tricks, try again with a different game difficulty, create new characters, create your own dream skate park complete with goals and compete against your friends in two player mode. Oh, and you can watch the THUG movies, trailers and you can unlock new characters and levels.
Who in their right mind is going to think this game is no good?! Seriously. I have completed all game modes, unlocked all game characters and all THUG movies, and I STILL enjoy it. I have had it for a little over 4 months, I think. Firefight is the best, even though I always win against my brother (well, mostly) and I even built a Firefight battleground in Create-A-Park.
Buy this game. It is a legend.
