Take your Time

There are no time constraints in The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, so there is no need to rush trying to solve a case. If you find yourself hitting a dead end you will need to take a step back, this means reevaluating your known information, and comparing it with what is presented in the testimony in front of you. By doing this, you will often find a discrepancy that will help you solve the case.

Get Help from Susato

Listen to Susato if after calling multiple witnesses to the stand you don't get any clues and are still no nearer to solving the case. Susato is a judicial assistant who has a sidebar where she will drop hints as to whom she feels is not being totally honest based on their body language, or a comment they made on a particular detail. If you pay attention to her comments they will help you pin down the testimony you should be focussing on or at the least narrow your options down.

Frequently Consult your Court Records

During a trial, you can open and consult your court records as often as you want. It is essential that you examine and look at all your information when you are given a new piece of evidence, as the fresh piece of evidence may have something hiding within it that could blow open the case.

Look for Cross-Examination Similarities and Discrepancies

If during a cross-examination you get stuck, don't be afraid to press each statement for more information. You will not be penalized in any way doing this, and by getting juror's to amend their testimonies with new information may bring similarities or discrepancies to light which you can then present. What you need to look for are two statements commenting on the same thing, such as mentioning the witness, dates, weapons, the witness' appearance.

Use Story Mode to Solve the Case

When you encounter a tricky situation where you are not sure what to do, you can always bring up your 'Options' menu and turn on Story mode. When Story mode is enabled, the usual text autoplay will be replaced with automated gameplay, which will result in the game presenting the right evidence and solving the case for you.

Save Before Presenting Evidence

It is recommended that you save the game before presenting your evidence. Doing this will mean you will not have to worry about presenting the wrong evidence or making the wrong selection. You can save The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles at any time simply by opening the 'Options' menu.

Pre-Trial Preparation is Crucial

Make sure, before you step foot into the courtroom, you have thoroughly checked your evidence. Not only do you need to read the descriptions carefully, but you also need to use the 'Inspect' feature to look over each item. You need to check bullet chambers in guns, back of newspapers, and base of jewelry boxes. If you find something new while going over the item, the description will be automatically updated to take it into account.

During the trial itself, certain pieces of evidence will be given plenty of attention, but if you already have the full facts concerning it before you enter the courtroom you are less likely to encounter problems. It is also important for later in the case that you immediately check evidence that is entered into the court record mid-trial.
