Consumables are items that can be collected throughout the city from various containers and picked up from dead enemies. They have a variety of uses.
How do you use them?
Consumables are made available by pressing right on the D-pad on PS/Xbox. Holding down right on the D-pad will show you an access wheel to select which one is active.
When consumed, canned food increases healing effects on player by 40%. The effect lasts 30 seconds.
May also be given to Civilians in need to receive XP and an Appearance clothing drop.
When consumed, the energy bar instantly removes all negative Status Effects on the player and protects the player from all Status Effects for 5 seconds.

When consumed, water increases all damage dealt to elite enemies by 20%. The effect lasts 30 seconds.

When consumed, soda reduces all skill cool downs by 30%. This effect lasts 30 seconds.

Lock pick are used to open locked doors in some buildings. In some locations you may find locked doors leading to rooms containing a loot box or container. You can only get into the room if you have a lock pick available to you. So make sure to collect these when you find them. The locked rooms usually contain better quality gear.
Used to open some containers in the Dark Zone. The containers may also be level restricted so just having a key may not grant you access.
Incendiary Bullets have a chance to light a target on fire. The effect lasts 30 seconds.
When used, Explosive Bullets have a chance to deal area of effect damage.
