How to Fast Travel

Although the location of The Division 2 has shifted from New York City to Washington D.C. there is still a large open world to traverse and knowing how to fast travel from one place to another in a short amount of time can be very useful. Fast travel does not mean that you can just move to anywhere on the map at anytime, but rather is limited to specific types of locations. These include the Base of Operations, Settlements, Safe Houses, and previously played Main Missions.

The first thing you need to do to fast travel from one location to another quickly is to open up the map and hover the cursor to any of the above mentioned location types. When you do this the greyed out fast travel icon will light up and you will be able to hold down the corresponding button to do so. You will not be able to fast travel to Main Missions you have not yet reached even if they appear on the map. Once you have actually played them they will become an option to easily fast travel to and unlock new loot.

The only rule with fast travel in The Division 2 is that you will not be able to do it during combat. Also, you do not need to be at a Safe House in order to fast travel to another Safe House, you can simply teleport to any Safe House you have previously discovered, from anywhere on the map (except from the Dark Zones).
