How to Play with Friends

One of the new features that has been added to the SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is a multiplayer mode which will allow you to play the game with friends and see who survives the longest and earns the most points. If you want to play SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated with friends they can join you in multiplayer mode. This new feature that has been added to the remake of the game allows two-players to team up in either local couch or online co-op mode to battle the evil Robo-Squidward and all robots from the main game, wave after wave, across more than twenty islands. You earn points individually, so although the two of you are working together to survive you will also be competing to get the most points.

To invite a friend to join your game, you just have to hook up a second controller to your console, or ask them to join your session online. To enable this feature you must go to the main screen and select the 'Multiplayer' option. This will give you a couple of choices, you can select

• Join a Game

This option will enable you to join a game that your friend has already begun.

• Host a Game

This option will allow you to invite your friend to play in your game.

If you purchased the steam version of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated there is a 'Play Together' feature which means only one person needs to own the game to play the new multiplayer mode. To play a game using the 'Play Together' function the owner of the game just needs to open up their friend's list during gameplay and send the invite, once this has been done you and your friend can play together.
