SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is a video game based on the Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. Bad robots have been released into Bikini Bottom by Plankton, who created them using the Duplicatotron 3000 in order to steal the Krabby Patty Secret Recipe and it's up to SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy, using their unique set of skills who must thwart Plankton's evil plans to rule Bikini Bottom. The game itself is a remake that features an all new multiplayer mode and content which was cut from the original game which was released in 2003. Use the 'Save Game' Option Although there are autosaves and checkpoints in SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated for when you inevitably die you should still get in the habit of regularly saving the game manually especially every time you do something important like get a letter tile, complete a checkbox, or find a new area. To save your gave press the 'Pause' button on your device, click 'Options' and scroll down to 'Save Game'.
Turn Off the Smart Camera Platforming is fun when the platforms are large but when you are forced to navigate smaller platforms it can become frustrating since there are quite a few tricky actions your chosen character will be required to perform. You will find that turning off the smart camera so you are able to control the camera manually will often help in when you encounter these situations.
Use Fast Travel to Save Time At the map in the 'Pause' menu you will be able to reduce the amount of time you spend running around by using fast travel. To get to a particular spot on a level you simply have to highlight the nearest golden spatula and you will fast travel there. Using fast travel does not cost anything.
Use your Character's Shadow as a Guide when Jumping Use your chosen character's shadow for guidance when you need to jump on very small ledges or very thin surfaces in SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated. If your character's shadow is over the area you want to land, then it is safe to land. You must also take into account if what you are jumping onto a moving object.
Jumping with Objects Remember that you will not be able to jump carry an object, this forces you to toss it onto the next level and then retrieve it. Make sure you plan your moves carefully as objects such as watermelons have a short life.
Constantly Refer Back to your 'To Do List' Make sure you constantly refer back to your 'To Do List' so you can keep a track of what you need to do or where to go to get the golden spatula. Keep in mind that there will be instances where you will not be able to complete an area until you go to another area and do certain things. This will often mean you will be subjected to running between a couple of areas in order to complete them.
Regularly Check your Progress You can easily track your progress in SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated by going to the 'Pause' menu. There you will be able to see your current location on a map and other areas in the game. Highlighting an area will allow you to see useful informaton about it such as which golden spatualas you have earned or how many of Patrick's socks you have found.
Replay Areas with New Abilities Later in the game SpongeBob will unlock the Bubble Bowling and Cruise Bubble abilities. Once you have these new abilities it's worth revisiting some of the earlier levels as there are one or two golden spatulas and socks you can only get using these moves.
