Cheats, Tips and Strategy

Develop your Character

It is important that as you progress through the game you are continually buying new weapons and unlocking new special abilities so you help develop your character and improve his performance during the missions. Unlock Mask Mode

At the beginning of Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts you will be able to unlock Mask mode. Once this mode is available it will help you in locating various items or objects of interest, this includes lootable corpses and items that can be collected. Eiminating Targets

Your role in this game is a sniper and the game rewards you for taking shots from a distance. Basically, your sniper rifle will gain in effectiveness as the distance to the target increases so always look to eliminate your target from afar.

Bullet Trajectory in the Wind

Before you fire your shot you need to make sure you have taken into consideration the distance and how the wind and how each will affect the trajectory of your bullet. If you are unsure you may want to consider taking the time to do the tutorial stage as this will teach you everything you need to know about the shooting mechanics of the game.

Use Special Ammo

Sniper rifles can use different kinds of special ammo which can give you various additional effects that will help you in a given situation. Always be aware of what ammo you can load your sniper rifle with and use it to your advantage whenever possible. Aim for the Head

Always look for the headshot when aiming at a target as a carefully placed single shot will take out most enemies. Although the torso is a bigger area to aim at it will take 3 hits there to kill an enemy. Trying to hit the target 3 times in the torso in quick succession before they trigger the alarm is not easy to do. If it is an amoured trooper you are trying to take down you need to aim for their throat as that is where their armour is weakest.

Always Sneak

The missions you undertake will each have dozens of enemies patrolling areas and guarding the safety of your target. To help avoid detection you need to move quietly as you sneak about. If you move in a crouched position using bushes to camouflage yourself you will reduce the chance that the enemy will spot you and raise the alarm making all the enemies in the area converge to your location.

Interrogate your Enemies

Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts gives you the option to eliminate or question an enemy if you are able to get near enough to them from behind. In most cases the latter option is more valuable as it will allow you to know the location of nearby enemies making it easier for you to deal with them.

Perform Stealth Attacks

If you are close enough and the opportunity presents itself assassinate your enemies by using melee attacks and stealth kills. Not only will you eliminate an enemy you will also save ammunition. This type of attack also allows you to dispose of the body so it can't be seen by troopers out on patrol.
