What are Awakened Forms?

The Awakened form of a character indicates that the Skylander has been upgraded. Skylanders can be Awakened by collecting Soul Stones and a large amount of Elemental Stones. Awakened Skylanders can be identified by purple star rarities and unlike other empowered forms in the series the transformation into this new appearance which gives the Skylander more elaborate acessories or additional armour is permanent.

Awakened Skylanders will recieve a large boost in stats and one of their skills will be upgraded to a new form which will be more powerful or have different effects. These characters can still level up, use runes and upgrade their attacks as usual with no additional cost.
