Sky: Children of the Light is an indie adventure game where you fly around beautiful landscapes and join with others to solve simple puzzles. Check out our walkthrough, guide, strategy page to get help solving the puzzles.

You play the role of a child with a cape that gives you the ability to fly and a candle that can be used to light shrines and doors and reveal the appearance of other players. There are 7 main kingdoms in the game and each has its own unique spirits to find. There are two main types of spirits (emojis) found in all the kingdoms, those which are small and yellow and will level up your light energy and the larger usually blue ones that will give you a special emotion that you can perform at any time. Spirits can be revisited to get wing uprades and customisable items in exchange for candles and hearts. Any of the 7 kingdoms can be visited at any time on the condition you have completed the previous kingdom will consume your light energy if you are in their vision for too long.

Get More Hearts

The main currency in Sky: Children of the Light is candles and they are used to add friends, upgrade emojis and unlock spells. You will be able to buy a heart for three candles each time you unlock a spirit. The only other way to get hearts is to receive them from friends. The hearts are valuable because they’re required for cosmetics.

Explore your Surroundings

There is no need to rush when exploring your surroundings. Searching carefully will enable you to find hidden items and areas and if you find something you cannot reach make a note of it and return when your wings are stronger. Do not worry about missing things on your first playthrough as you can return to any area from the Home base. Check out our Spirit and Star Collectibles page to learn their whereabouts in the game.

Missing Emojis

Each of the kingdoms in Sky: Children of the Light has its own constellation full of emojis. If you discover you are missing one you will need to go back through that portal and check your list of emojis by visiting areas and seeing if any are greyed out. If you have all the spirits in an area none of the emojis will be grey. If you do go back to an area to look for spirits you missed you need dto make sure you complete the entire area again or you will not be able to access the spirit’s upgrades.

Eye of Eden

Once you complete the Eye of Eden you will lose all your stars (winged lights). However you will get Ascended Candles which you can use to buy permanent wing upgrades. Check out our How to get Extra Rewards page to find out how you can get more items to help you on your journey.

More Flight Power

In order to get more flight power so you can get to things that are out of reach will require increasing the wedges in your Cape Meter, this is achieved by finding Children of Light and collecting Stars.

Completing the Game

It is possible to complete the game without worrying about candles or hearts but doing so means you will not be able to afford the cosmetics. The only way to get the cosmetics is to either grind for candles or buy candles. Check out our How to Make Friends page to learn how you can get assists from other players in Sky: Children of the light.
