Weapons Upgrade Guide

In order to upgrade your weapons in Shadow Warrior 3 you will need to find silver Upgrade Orbs. Once you have the required number of Upgrade Orbs you can open your inventory and to the 'Weapons' tab where you will be able to see each of Lo Wang's weapon upgrade paths. The first upgrade requires 1 Orb, the second requires 2 Orbs, and the final upbrade requires 4 Orbs. This Weapons Upgrade Guide will tell you the paths and upgrades.

Dragontail

This sword is acquired at the beginning of the game.

Upgrade 1 - Heavy Attacks

Hold Sword Attack button then release it to strike with a Heavy Attack.

Upgrade 2 - Elemental Attacks

Unlocks access to Fireball, Frost Slash, and Electric Vortex.

Upgrade 3 - Elemental Overcharge

Adds status effects on enemies damaged by your dword's Elemental Attacks.

The Outlaw

Pistol acquired at the beginning of the game.

Upgrade 1 - Ammo Pouch Capacity

Increases The Outlaw ammo pouch capacity by 50%

Upgrade 2 - Poppin' Heads

Headshots now trigger an explosion that deals damage to nearby enemies

Upgrade 3 - Heat of Battle

Heats up bullets fired in quick succession, that set enemies ablaze.

Riot Gun

Shotgun acquired during the first level of the game.

Upgrade 1 - Ammo Pouch Capacity

Increases Riot Gun ammo pouch capacity by 50%.

Upgrade 2 - Full-Auto

Riot Gun operates in a fully automatic mode.

Upgrade 3 - No Reloads

Disables reloads, allowing for uninterrupted firing with this weapon.

Sidekicks

Dual SMG acquired at the start of the second level of the game.

Upgrade 1 - Ammo Pouch Capacity

Increases Sidekicks ammo pouch capacity by 50%.

Upgrade 2 - Shocking Rounds

Adds electrocute effect on dealing continuous damage to the enemy over time.

Upgrade 3 - Thunder Trap

Enemies killed with Shocking Rounds spawn a Thunder Trap around them.

Crimson Bull

Grenade Launcher acquired partway through the third level of the game.

Upgrade 1 - Ammo Pouch Capacity

Increases Crimson Bull ammo pouch capacity by 50%.

Upgrade 2 - Increased Radius

Increased explosion radius.

Upgrade 3 - Sucker Punch

Grenade that bounces off a surface, can track enemies in proximity.

The Basilisk

Railgun acquired after the collapsing dam portion of the fourth level of the game.

Upgrade 1 - Hawkeye

Charging a shot slows down time.

Upgrade 2 - Piercing Gaze

Shots pierce through multiple lined-up enemies.

Upgrade 3 - Immobilizer

Shooting one enemy generates a freezing blast, immobilizing others around.

Shuriken Spitter

Crossbow acquired at the beginning of the fifth level of the game.

Upgrade 1 - Ammo Pouch Capacity

Increases Shuriken Spitter ammo pouch capacity by 50%.

Upgrade 2 - Predator Disc

Discs that kill the enemy, continue on to another nearby target.

Upgrade 3 - Triple Shot

Hold the 'Fire' button then release it, to fire three discs at once.
