How to Ascend Heroes

In order to make your heroes more powerful you will need to collect shards, laurels and other items to improve their rarity. It is important that you improve their rarity as it this that determines their level cap. Ascecion in Rivengard is the best way and to do so you will need to acquire summoning shards. There are several ways in which will be able to obtain theese shards, but the main way is through campaign battles.

Aside from making your character more powerful by increasing is rarity Ascending your hero will also unlock the secondary ability of the hero and more XP levels. You can find out the way to get characters summoning shards by going to the 'Heroes' option and selecting the hero in question, then tapping its 'shard' icon which is located above the level bar. Doing this will display a list of campaign battles and other ways to obtain the shards for that character.

Summoning shards are used at the summoning portal which can be accessed through the shop either by using gems, the games premium currency or summoning tokens which are found in chests. Make sure when you are there you check the daily deals section in the 'Shop' menu.

How to Rank Up Heroes

Ranking up heroes in Rivengard involves collecting six pieces of equipment for a specific hero. Once you manage to collect all six items to complete the set your hero will rank up by converting the items into permanent stat bonuses. Also keep in mind that each hero also has separate slots for a weapon, a piece of armor, and a trinket which can be improved through crafting.
