Rivengard is a fantasy-themed tactical RPG that has a turn-based combat system. Unlock a team of heroes and deploy them on the battlefield to strike down and conquer powerful hoards of enemies by making use of the specific strengths of your heroes and the terrain of the battlefield as you lead them towards victory. Rivengard is available on Android and iPhone/iPad. Take a look at our tips to get help in the game.

Know your Heroes

You will unlock five heroes to start with once you have completed the tutorial of Rivengard. These Heroes will be from the Light-aligned Radiant Order, and they will be Sir Matteus, Hanna, Sigrid, and Monty. These as well as the other heroes that you can unlock in the game will each have unique traits such as flying, mechanic, dragaon scales, inebriated, healer, hulking, mounted, and polearm. Therefore, in order to be able to build a team that best suits your playstyle it is important that you familiarize yourself with the different traits and skills of the heroes, so you understand the tactical advantages and benefits each of them offer during battle. You can view all the heroes you have collected and also those that are currently unlocked by tapping the 'Heroes' tab that is located at the bottom of the screen. The heroes that you do not have will have their icons greyed out.

What are the Elements

All the heroes are grouped into Factions and given a color which represents an element. There are four colors in total and each color deals more damage to two colors. Listed below are each of the Factions along with the two Factions each of them do more damage against.

- Blue-aligned units deal more damage to Green and Red units

- Dark-aligned units deal more damage to Light and Green units

- Light-aligned units deal more damage to Red and Dark units

- Red-aligned units deal more damage to Blue and Light units

- Green-aligned units deal more damage to Dark and Blue units

How to Develop your Heroes Faster

As you progress through the campaign mode of Rivengard you will naturally develop and build your heroes. One way in which you can speed up the process is by repeating stages and grinding XP, gold, shards, pamphlets and other rank up items. You may want to consider joining a guild as doing so will enable you to request rank-up materials from other members and don't forget that you can get double XP on Saturday and double gold on Sunday.

How to Inflict Additional Damage

Heroes and enemies are both able to inflict additional damage if they have an element and class advantage, the three classes in Rivengard are Warrior, Rogue, and Mage. It is important before you engage in combat with another unit you first check their element and class. Listed below is the additional damage each class inflicts on another class.

- Warrior class inflicts additional damage against Rogue class

- Rouge class inflicts additional damage against Mage class

- Mage class inflicts additional damage against Warrior class

Once you know the element and class of the enemy you can now look to get an edge in the forthcoming battle by selecting the heroes that have a element/class advantage against the enemy lineup. For example, if the enemy lineup is composed of mostly Warriors you should build your team towards mages as doing so will bypass the physical armor they wear. If you want to check your heroes element and info you can do so by going to 'Profile' which is in the upper left corner of the screen.

How to Get Free Gems

The premium currency in Rivengard is gems, and they are used at the Summoning Portal at the shop to get heroes. Rivengard has a 'refer and earn' system where each player gets a unique referral code that can be shared with friends in order to earn free gems. This can be simply done by tapping the gear icon that is located in the top-right corner of the screen and selecting 'Refer a Friend' which will enable you to see your referral code. All you need to do now is share that code with friends providing they are connected to Gamescenter or Google Play Games. Once your friends submit the code in the 'Refer a Friend' menu you will earn gems and other rewards.
