Riders Republic Beginners Tips and Tricks

Listed below are several Beginner Tips and Tricks which will help to improve your racing in Riders Republic.

Learn How to Break
To have any success in Riders Republic it is crucial that you master the art of braking during a race as you will need to make it around tons of tight corners and turns in all categories of races. Make sure as you race around a track you anticipate what's coming ahead and prepare for it accordingly. For example, if you know a sharp corner is approaching you will need to reduce your speed, brake around the turn, cutting it as close as possible. Winning races is not about hitting top speed, but how consistent you are at getting around the course.

Start with the Racer Style
When you load up a new game of Riders Republic, you will be given the choice of two styles your character can use - Racer or Trickster. It is recommended if you are new to the game that you select the Racer option, as this will make the downhill events easier and give you more control of the camera. The downside of the Racer option is you will lose the ability to control the tricks you can perform. Once you have got to grips with the game, you should consider playing with the Trickster option, which will allow you to pull off more intricate and creative tricks for higher scores in trick events.

Perform Manual Landings
Riders Republic has an auto-landing system turned on by default, which corrects your rider after a trick so that they land safely. To begin with while you are leaning the game this is helpful but in order to get higher scores you need to switch it off as they will only be given when you pull off dangerous and extreme stunts where you land yourself. This will take some adjustment, so don't get discouraged when you have plenty of failed landings that lead to wipeouts as this is part of the learning experience.

Avoid the Pack
Regardless of the type of race you are competing in, it is recommended that you try to keep your distance from the pack as much as possible as there is a greater risk that you could end up being involved in a massive pileup through no fault of your own if a racer in the cluster makes a wrong move. Falling in a race not only slows you down in the moment but also forces you to start from scratch which means building up again all the speed you had. The best strategy is to hang back a little from the pack, so you can avoid the inevitable crashes which will thin out the pack, and patiently wait for an opportunity to swoop in for the win at the tail end of the race.

Use the Practice Area to Learn Tricks
Make sure you take advantage of the practice area if you are a player who wants to compete in the trick events and online trick battles. There are plenty of tricks in Riders Republic and a lot of them are difficult to pull off, which makes the practice area the perfect place to master the execution and timing of them and to learn all the aspects of how tricking works for all the different sports in the game.

Pay Attention to your Compass
If you are not familiar with the courses in Riders Republic it is crucial that you keep a close eye on your compass, so you know what's coming up ahead. The compass will also tell you what direction the upcoming checkpoint is even if it is not yet visible, and in the more open races it will keep you from veering off in the wrong direction.

Explore the Open World
Competitions and races are the best way to earn the stars required to advance your career, but they are not youe only options. If you venture off the beaten path and explore the open world you will likely come across landmarks that reward stars and various collectibles that reward wacky gear.
