How do you Heal and Eat?

There are two ways that you can do this. You can either just tap the corresponding icons that are at the top of the screen and let the game distribute your items for you automatically or you can go to your inventory yourself and choose the items you want to use. If you let the game choose your items it will use the least potent ones first.

What are the hand icons for?

The hand icons indicate the items you can pick up.

What nutrition do you get from fish?

Raw fish gives back half a food bar but can go further if cooked in a furnace. When cooked it gives 3 cooked meat that gives back three quarters of the bar.

How can you collect medical plants without a machete?

If you hit bushes with your hands you will still be able to collect the medical plants needed for medikits even though the game states they are only collectable with machetes.

How do you 'Craft the Tesla weapon', the instructions are not in the crafting journal?

This weapon is actually the shock club and to craft it you will need 1 dynamo motor, 2 wood and 1 crystal.

What does the skull and crossbones symbol on my map indicate?

The skull and crossbones icon just shows you the location where you last died.

What sort of 'Hints' are in the journal?

The hints in the journal is basically a dictionary of how to do each task like mining or radiation sickness.

Can you fast travel between islands, or only within the same island?

It is only possible to fast travel between transit locations on the same island.

Can you create your own transit locations?

No, you cannot create your own transport location. Consider building a house on a hill or mountain peak so you can glide to other places.

How do you make glass medicine bottles?

Once you have crafted a shovel you will be able to dig up sand at the beach which you can then make into glass using the furnace.

How do you craft the canoe?

The canoe allows you to travel water quick and safely and is crafted with 6 wood, 2 croc skin, and 2 string.
