How do you use the Journal?

The journal can be opened at any time during gameplay by pressing the 'journal' icon which can be found in the top right-corner of the screen. The journal can be used to change options, view your journal tasks, hints, pages, and map. The journal consists of two different types of pages, these are coordinates and journal entries.

Coordinates

These pages are pieces of map that have codes written on them and are used to deactivate the tesla towers. You will be able to find them at the tesla tower somewhere near the keypad which is used to enter in the code. When you begin a new island you will be able to find the code at a house near the bridge.

Journal Entries

These pages make up the storyline of the game and are found in chests. Once you start collecting the journal entries you will learn about how the U.S. navy was experimentig during 1943 where experimenting with electromagnetic fields and how something goes wrong and strange things begin to happen. You will also read about how a sailor who finds himself in the same situation as yourself realises the only way he can escape from the loop that everytime he is killed he is respawned back at the beach is to shut down all the tesla towers.
