Story

Three years have passed since Trainer Red made his journey through the land of Kanto, defeating their Elite 4 and disbanding the evil gang of Pokemon thieves and abusers known as Team Rocket. Now, it is time for a new story to begin, in the neighboring land of Johto.

You start out in the humble town of New Bark, called upon by your neighbor, Professor Elm, to retrieve something from a man named Mr. Pokemon. You're given your first Pokemon to aid you on your way, and after seeing how well you get along with your Pokemon, Elm recommends you take the Pokemon League Challenge, just as Trainer Red did before you.

Along your journey you'll encounter friend and foe, battling trainers far and wide to strengthen yourself and your partners to gather badges from gym leaders. Team Rocket has also made a resurgence, taking over Goldenrod Radio Tower in an attempt to reach their missing leader, Giovanni. They are promptly taken care of once and for all, and after acquiring Johto's eight badges, your next challenge is upon you: defeating the Elite 4 and Champion.

But, if you prove successful in your challenge, the end is not near. After you are able to claim your title as Champion, you are given access to Kanto, where Red had his journey. After travelling through Kanto and collecting their gym badges, bringing your total to 16, Professor Oak gives you access to Mount Silver, where Trainer Red secluded himself to train.

Make it through, and your final challenge awaits. Can you defeat the enigmatic Trainer Red?
