There have been many Pokemon games. Pokemon red, blue, yellow, green, silver, gold, ruby and sapphire. But now Pokemon emerald hits the gameboy screen. Its pretty much the same as ruby and sapphire but a combination of both. Its the answer to the big question, Which one should I get? Ruby or sapphire? Now you can get both with emerald version.
For a gameboy advance game the graphics are pretty good.gameplay is like every Pokemon game but almost 3d worlds. When you battle your Pokemon move before you attack. If you have a specific type of Pokemon, they'll turn red if they are only fire type or blue if water. I'd say the graphics rule over all the other games.
The only downside to the game is the sound. The battle sounds are cool, but the music gets ANNOYING! When you first hear the music it's like "oh, it's not bad." But after playing it for over a year, I should know, it gets bad. I like the battle music though, especially when you encounter really rare pokemon. The musics like hardcore.
I'd say the gameplay is cool. You get to roam around wherever you want and the battles are cool.I'm not encouraging you to use it but if yo beat the game i'd sugest using an action replay. Using the "walk through walls" cheat lets you travel even out of bounds but it is'nt fun using it to get to secret areas because it ruins the game.
Poke mon lasts a really long time because even once you beat the champion there is still much to do. You can compete in contests, complete the pokedex, get rare Pokemon, get all gold symbols in the "secret place"(dont want to ruin it)And do, well, what ever you want! I'd say the game will last about a year or more.
Pokemon emerald is a great game, if your the type of person who would test your skills of bein the best Pokemon trainer, well this is the game for you. And the wireless adapter capabilities extend the game to test your skills againt your friends, and trade Pokemon to complete your collection.
