What are Status Conditions?

In total there are 7 status condition in the game and each will affect your opponents pieces differently when you encounter them during battle. Below is a list of them and how they will affect you, most status effects don’t stop you from battling you will just be weaker. Pressing on your or your opponents figures will display if they have any status effects currently active. These status conditions can be removed by a plate card or by being tagged by another of your Pokemon (only some effects can be removed by tagging).

Poison

Reduces damage by 20.

Noxious

Reduces damage by 40.

Paralysis

Makes the attack with the smallest piece on the data disk a miss.

Confusion

Spun Move is shifted by 1 during Combat. Confusion changes the attack to the next attack clockwise. So if it lands on Withdraw and the next one clockwise is Tackle, it will use Tackle instead.

Sleep

Can't take actions, except moving.

Frozen

Can't take actions and all their attacks miss.

Burn

Same as paralysis, but also takes 10 damage per turn.
