Learn the Basics

Paying the Missions in the Training Center will teach you some basics and you will also earn rewards in the form of Gems, Plates, and Pokemon.

Pokemon Abilities

Your Pokemon abilities are all unique and if you take advantage of them they can make a huge difference in a match. Gardvoir for example has many utility abilities that can provide support for your entire pokemon team.

Attack Colours

Make sure you know the different colours of attacks and what the hierarchy is. The lowest tier attack is white, followed by purple, them gold and finally blue which are defensive moves like protect and dodge which take priority over everything.

Opponents Plates

Keep an eye on your opponents Pokemon Duel Plates. This is done by tapping on the target, this is important for preparing your next turn moves.

Save Gems

Save your Gems and use them only to purchase special Boosters in the Shop that guarantee at least one EX Pokemon. These ultra-powerful EX Pokemon like Lugia and Mewtwo will make your battles much easier.

More Coins

You can get more coins by completing the daily missions. To add the coins to your bank when you have completed a mission you must go to 'Daily Missions' and select the mission you have completed.

Surround Enemy Pokemon

You can defeat an enemy Pokemon without battling it by surrounded it on both sides. When you do this the enemy Pokemon will automatically be removed from the board.

Corners

Always keep an eye out for corners of the board because if an opponent corners your Pokemon you will lose them.

Spawn Points

Prevent your opponent from bringing Pokemon back into the game by blocking their spawn points. Try to keep your Pokemon positioned there because doing so will enable you to win battles passively without moving.

Always Check Messages

At the 'Leagues' screen hit the menu button (six squares arranged in two rows of three) and go to messages. Open these messages to take any Gem bonus and add it to your inventory.
